Since 1865, many parts of the Hartbeeshoek area, south of the Hartbeespoort Dam, has been owned by various relatives of Commandant Andries Pretorius. Years later, his grandson Colonel Nicolaas Pretorius bought various portions and by 1924 amalgamated the portions into one farm. Colonel Pretorius served many years as a member of Parliament in Cape Town, whilst his wife took care of the farm. Today, his descendants still own and farm on this property known as B’sorah, which means “The Good News”.
With our faith in God and a heart to serve, that is exactly what we strive to offer to others at B’sorah – that bit of good news which we are all looking for in life. Whether it is to retreat to your own small corner of peace where you can reflect and find direction, a fun-filled experience with your family making memories, or if you are in search of a deeper relationship with God and the meaning of His Word, we are passionate in bringing truth and pure joy through the peace that there is to find at B’sorah.
Today, as a family who share a love for people, animals and the outdoors, we would love to welcome you to a farm full of history, beautiful scenery and wildlife, majestic sunsets and the opportunity to reacquaint with the finer things in life that matter the most.
B’sorah Farm and Red Brahman Stud
At B’sorah, we take pride in our Red Brahman stud, with the focus on breeding a quality bloodline and becoming a reputable stud among fellow Brahman owners. The contribution Brahmans have made towards the South African stud and commercial industry can be described as remarkable, and their distinct features set them apart from other cattle. That is the reason why we love working with them and seek to contribute to this breed and industry.
We also do tours of our Brahman cattle for preschools, primary schools or anyone interested in this magnificent breed. For preschool groups, we can also arrange pony rides for the children and a picnic meal.

Quiet, secluded get away
There are four luxury tented camps in one area and the "honeymoon" camp is separate. You do not see the other tents so you have a feeling of privacy, while overlooking the stream and the bush. Great spot for walking and birding. Riverine, plains and scrub to walk in. Did see some game but not a lot. Recommended for a quiet, get away from it all, break. The tents and deck are very nice.

We spent two nights...Two wonderful nights. The place is so quiet and secluded. Upon arrival we were greeted warmly and shown to our tent. The tent, kitchen, bathroom, everything was wonderful. The beds are clean and big. I felt so rested after one night. Will definitely go back there...Must see little gem!!

Amazing Weekend Away at B'sorah
My partner and I arrived on a rainy Friday evening and left on a sunny Sunday afternoon. Our stay can only be described as relaxing, beautiful and a much needed breath of fresh air. The tents were clean and well equip with all the basics.

Best kept secret
You do not have to drive a 1000 or more kilometers to escape the city - it is literally on your doorstep. We enjoyed the quiet life for two entire days and felt well rested and recharged. The tent was private, well equipped and cosy.
